The Wellstreams Ecumenical Program of Spiritual Formation and Development is pleased to present this one-day workshop exploring the powerful leadership styles of Jesus. Jesus led with great vision, logic, and heart, able to lead through known risks, even to the edge of failure and returned successfully. As the "ultimate leader" Jesus had the ability to express and manifest a radical vision. With a focus on the three years that Peter followed him, we will look at:

  • How Jesus modeled leadership behavior,
  • Patterns of Jesus' leadership
  • How his vision became expressed in human structures,
  • How Jesus' influence with Peter changed him into a world leader of the faith

This workshop will be a combination of lecture, discussion, reflection and includes developing a "Spiritual Development Plan." Please join us for a moving and powerful workshop that you will long remember.

A Spirituality Network Signature Event:

Arti Gras! A Celebration of Art and Spirit

The name of this event began with a playful pun on "Mardi Gras" as we envisioned a day to revel in creativity and to discover the freedom of the creative life. Art and creativity can be intimidating to so many of us who worry that we don't have the proper technique or our creations "won't look like anything." Arti Gras! was developed to help people recognize that as human beings, they are creative, they can "do art," and to give them an opportunity for hands-on exploration of creativity. This event offers a wide range of possibilities for exploring the creative elements of the life journey, featuring a menu of mini-workshops (e.g., collage, clay, paint, dance/drama/movement, poetry and writing.) We see this as a grass-roots, hands-on experience open to all. We believe that creativity enriches individuals, communities, and the earth as a whole.

Arti Gras! is scheduled every year on a February Saturday, just before Lent begins. Be with us again or for first the time!

Watch for registration information for Arti Gras! 2009
