from the June Special Event with The River's Voice


Great "Thanks!" for The River's Voice and those like them who are willing to share their gifts, recognizing they rest in God and do it so simply and with such art.

Prayer - Blessing - Dream - Hope - Gratitude

When we gathered for our annual meeting and celebration in June we invited attendees to share their hopes, dreams, prayers, blessings or gratitude on small cards that were collected that evening. The Staff, Board, and friends of the Network will hold these prayers as we enter another new year of service and programs.

The following are the prayers we collected that evening (we have left out specific names for this public list.)

Prayers Specifically for the Network:

  • In gratitude for the sanctuary the Network has been and continues to be in my life.
  • With continual gratitude...may all the angels be eternally blessed for their holy work and God be glorified!
  • My dream/hope for the Spirituality Network is their willingness to embrace Social Justice.
  • May the Spirituality Network be blessed with strong and committed growth and may you stay true to your mission in all your activities.
  • Someday, may you expand your connections to our non-Christian brothers and sisters.
  • My hope for the Network is long, life, success, helping more people, and giving hope. I am grateful for how the S.N. has helped me. Thanks for being.
  • The S.N. has blessed me and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone in many ways. I pray that the Network continues to bless and be blessed.
  • Bless the Network for what it has given me through the years.
  • My dream, my prayer for you: Wisdom, Hope, and Courage.
  • May we each be open to the Spirit moving through us, calling us toward uniqueness and wholeness.
  • May the Spirituality Network always be faithful in letting the Spirit be in charge.
  • Thank you for listening and caring.

  • My hope for you: sustainability for the future of the Network.
  • May God guide your work as those seeking spiritual direction are fed.
  • Risk the dream. Embrace the challenges. Shout LOVE to all. Be still, listen, and let go. Courageously walk toward any fears.
  • My hope, dream, and prayer for the Network: sacred community.
  • I am grateful for the gift of silent retreat. I will continue to pray for the Spirituality Network.
  • May God continue to provide you with whatever you need to be a blessing to others.

Personal Prayer Requests:

  • May I find peace as I recall my life with family members who have died.
  • I pray that I may be whole.
  • I give my granddaughters to God to love and protect.
  • I pray for courage, joy, patience, and wisdom during transition.
  • We pray for healing and hope for our son and daughter-in-law who recently had a miscarriage.
  • I pray that my wife find the peace that she has been searching for.
  • Please pray for a young family dealing with job loss. May God's guidance and wisdom carry them to a place of greater security and peace.
  • Gratitude for the blessing of my daughter's progress in recovery, and continued prayers for God's will be done in her life.
  • I pray that music would flow through my soul.
  • I pray to be at peace with what will not come to pass.
  • God, grant me the courage to follow, speak, and live my truth.
  • I give thanks for my wife - my life!
  • Oh God, simply hold me!
  • I pray to hear and respond to God's voice for my life in service.
  • I hope to grow to know God better.
  • I ask for God's blessing as I embark on a new direction on my spiritual journey by beginning the Wellstreams program in August.

  • I pray for healing for my friend, who is grieving.

Prayers for the World:

  • If the only prayer you ever say is "thank you", that will be enough!
  • I pray that all people remember that they came from you, God.
  • Surrender completely.
  • Be strong and let your heart take courage trusting in God's love.
  • Let peace be REAL and LASTING. Soon. Very soon.
  • May the spirit of St. Francis be with you always in all ways.
  • We pray for cleansing of the Gulf.
  • May we all work for peace and justice through love, compassion and nonviolence.
  • One blessing, dashing, dancing, devoting itself around multitudes of blessing to be found in our everyday God moments. Blessings to us all!
  • Joy is a choice! Choose it as often as you can.
  • Hope - for communities everywhere to be blessed by compassionate people and awareness of cosmic goodness and love.
  • I pray for every kind of healing: personal, global. Let there be a blessing hidden in our daily tragedies. Let it be seen.
