Wings & Prayers Quilt Ministry

In November 2010, the Spirituality Network launched a new prayer quilt ministry to make lap quilts of comfort for central Ohio adult hospice patients, affiliated with OdysseyHospice in Gahanna, in a prayerful way. This quilt ministry is open to people with a wide range of experience, from "never sewed anything in my life" to intermediate and advanced quilters. (And by "people" we mean men AND women.) The group meets the first Saturday of each month at The Spirituality Network office, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with additional dates and times to be added to our calendar in the coming months.

How You Can Participate:

• Come to our Saturday gatherings: help with one or more of the tasks of quilt making, which can include sorting, cutting, and ironing fabric; threading needles; sewing the quilt tops; laying out the quilt "sandwich" (top, batting, backing) etc.
• Donate supplies: need 100% cotton fabric and batting, cutting tables, etc.
• Donate money: support the purchase of supplies.
