The End of All That is Not Christ in Us

Virtual Silent Saturday with Sr. Carol Ann Spencer

Contemplative Outreach of Columbus is offering a Silent Saturday. A Silent Saturday provides a few hours that are set aside for Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, spiritual teaching and reflection. "Come rest awhile with the Lord" in preparation for Advent.

Advent is a time of beginning.  We are invited to renew our journey by pondering Thomas Merton’s statement: “The Advent Mystery is the Beginning of the End of All in us that is not Christ.”  In Jesus we are told God and humanity are meant for each other.  We are called to be fully human as Jesus was fully human.

LET US PONDER THE WONDER OF THE INCARNATION.
Sr. Carol Ann Spencer O.P. is a member of the Dominican Sisters of Peace.  She has led countless workshops and retreats. She is also the founding director of WELLSTREAMS, a program for becoming a spiritual director, and the Spirituality Network.
