The biblical wilderness is not merely a place of emptiness. It is where Moses encountered God, where Israel received sustaining bread, and where John the Baptist announced that a new way was being prepared.
This Advent silent retreat offers a spacious day of sacred reading, contemplative prayer, Sabbath rest, and extended silence. Together, we will explore two movements—“Entering the Wilderness” and “Peace: God Is Present Here”—while listening for what may be emerging within us and around us.
There is nothing to accomplish and no experience to manufacture. Come as you are: hopeful or weary, peaceful or longing for peace.
The wilderness may not give us a map. It may, however, reveal that we were never alone.
